Purpose
Many people across the globe do not perceive sports as their first option or have limited access to sporting opportunities.The Ghatkopar Krida Prathistan(GKP) promotes sport culture in our society where sports should come as a first choice. We aim to support underprivileged children from slums by conducting free camps and practice sessions. GKP aims to create opportunities for our players to compete at the highest levels possible, and to prepare them for success both on and off the court. We are committed to providing top-quality coaching, training, and facilities to help our players reach their full potential and to instill in them the values of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Sport has the power to change the world and GKP wants to bring the change.Together WE CAN start making a difference and contribute towards building the sporting culture of tomorrows generation.

More than 350+ students attend our free summer camp. GKP is committed to creating opportunities for underprivileged students to discover their potential and develop life skills through the game of basketball. From free summer camps for underprivileged students to spreading awareness about National Sports Day, conducting training sessions at BMC schools, organizing beach trainings, and celebrating International Yoga Day – we're all about promoting sports, wellness, and inclusivity.

GKP provide players with the opportunity to participate in State Level Trials, where they can demonstrate their talent and potentially secure a spot on both the State,National teams and also Khelo India.
Academic Pursuits and Collegiate Sports
In addition, our players also benefit from admission opportunities through the sports quota, allowing them to represent their respective college basketball teams. This dual advantage enables them to pursue their academic aspirations while actively participating in competitive sports at the collegiate level.
Sports Education
GKP empower our players to pursue careers as coaches and PE teachers by providing comprehensive guidance, training, and resources. Our goal is to create a lasting impact on the sports community and inspire future generations of athletes through their expertise and passion. We encourage our athletes to pursue career opportunities like B.P.ed, M.P.ed, NIS along with Sports Management, Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology.
Officiating Matches
Additionally, our players have the opportunity to pursue basketball officiating at various levels, including state and international competitions like FIBA. We actively encourage our players to explore officiating roles, providing them with the essential training and support to enhance their understanding of the game and officiating skills.
